(b) A cube of dried clay having sides 5cm long, weighs 135g. The same cube of CO1/3.0
soil, when saturated at unchanged volume, weighs 195g. find the value of
specific gravity of solids and void ratio.

(b) A saturated clay has a water content of 39.3% and mass specific gravity of CO1/3.0
1.84. Find the value specific gravity of solids and void ratio.

5 With the help of neat sketch explain the process of determining in situ field CO2/5.0
density using sand replacement method.
