Lesson Title Principles of Speech Delivery

Instructions 1. Group yourselves according to your previous grouping. Write a

three-minute persuasive speech about a local delicacy known as
“uga” or dried fish. Focus on promoting it to people who are not
yet familiar with the staple or who have not tried it yet. Research
about it putting emphasis on what sets Cadiznons’ “uga” from
other dried fishes in the country and how it has contributed to the
economy of our city. Don’t forget to cite your references in your
speech. Choose three representatives from your group to deliver
the introduction, body, and conclusion of your speech. Use the
attached rubric as your guide. Speech must be video recorded and
submitted to me through my email lovella.alfon@deped.gov.ph.

2. Work with the same group. Craft and deliver a three-minute

demonstrative speech introducing a new dish using “uga” as the
main ingredient. This may be in the form of a food vlog or other
structure or style that you prefer. Please see the rubric for your

(Note: Other group members who were not assigned as speakers
in the previous speech delivery will be the speakers this time
while others can be camera men, editor, etc.). Outputs must be
