I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson, the learners are expected to:
1. Illustrate well-defined sets;
2. Determine the following:
a. well-defined sets according to type,
b. cardinality of the given set; and
3. Exemplify distinct real-life objects as sets.
III. Procedure
A. Review/ Preparatory Activity/ Motivation
- The learners will be oriented of the module based on About the
Module on page v.
- The learners will be asked to answer the What I Know (Pre-Test)
for 10 minutes on page 1 to 2.
- The learners will be given introduction about sets found in What’s
In on page 3.
B. Presentation and Discussion of the Lesson
- With the use of the word strips or pictures, the learners will group
them according to malls, catholic churches, historical landmarks,
Cebuano celebrities, and man-made tourist destinations as shown
in What’s New on page 3.
- The learners will illustrate well-defined sets, determine cardinality of
sets, and types of sets as shown in What is It on page 4.

C. Generalization:
- Based on the presentation/discussion and application, the learners
will now conclude/generalize four (4) important ideas found in What
I Need To Remember on page 5.
D. Application
- The learners will answer What’s More for 15 minutes Activity 1.1:
NOW IT’S YOUR TURN activities A and B on page 5.
E. Enrichment
- The learners will be asked to look around and list at least five (5)
distinct objects which will form well-defined set.
