In that moment filled with fear and nervousness, Evan felt the dog become his guardian angel,
the sound of growling echoing through the forest, which scared the fox backward. Meanwhile, as
a sense of bravery rose in his heart, Evan teamed up with the dog, waving his fist towards the fox
with all his might, while exclaiming for help. In the face of the threat, the fox fled into the deep
forest like a defeated soldier. Evan bent down, enveloped the dog with gratitude and care. Out of
the corner of his eye, he discovered a familiar figure approaching in the distance. The boy could
not help but shout out to the dog with a wave of excitement and joy in his voice.

“It’s my mom! Let’s go!” Evan excitedly told the dog and ran to Octavia.
It was the moment when the mother felt relieved and surprised, as Evan seemed to have a close
friendship with a newfound dog. With the words flying out of Evan’s lips like bullets from a
machine-gun, he shared with Octavia the adventure he experienced with the brave buddy just
now. As a grin blossomed on Octavia’s face, she softly rubbed the dog, whispering to Evan that
he could adopt it if they could not find its previous owner. On the way back home, Evan believed
that he had not only grasped the essence of attention and care, but also the significance of loyalty
and bravery shared with his friend.
