Accepting your “Conditional Offer” of admission

Fall 2024 - UG Admissions


Congratulations on your conditional offer of admission to join the Lahore University of Management Sciences
(LUMS)! We are very much looking forward to welcoming you to LUMS. As a student, you will be part of a dynamic
community where knowledge is created rather than simply described.

Please find the following documents attached to your Online Admission Portal:
1. Conditional Offer letter with the terms & conditions of admission (Computer Generated Copy);
2. Fee Bill & Voucher; and
3. Letter from the Dean

Conditional Offer Acceptance Process:


An offer of admission does not guarantee you a seat in the Programme. To secure your seat in the Programme, you
must complete the following steps by the specified deadlines:

1. Accepting the LUMS 'Conditional Offer' Online:


• Carefully read the detailed terms and conditions outlined in the online 'Conditional Offer' letter, as you
must meet all these conditions to join LUMS. Accepting the Conditional Offer implies that applicants agree
to the terms and conditions of admission.
• A Fee Bill & Fee Voucher, along with the Fees Information Policy, will be generated within 24 hours and
made available on the LUMS Online Admission Portal after the release of the Admission Offer.
• Following the generation of the Fee Bill/Fee Voucher, the Emergency Contact Information Form and the
Conditional Admission Offer Acceptance Online Module will be made available to offer holders.
• Before accepting the LUMS online Conditional Offer of admission, all offer holders must fill out the
Emergency Contact Information Form.
• LUMS will release the admission package to all successful applicants in due course. If you intend to accept
our Conditional Offer, you may do so online by selecting the appropriate option before the specified
deadline. However, upon receiving the admission package, all offer holders must upload a signed copy of
the aforementioned letter along with the paid fee voucher on their online portal through the tab “Upload
Signed Acceptance & Payment Proof” within the stipulated timeline.
• Please thoroughly read and understand the complete admission and fee details available on the LUMS
Online Admission System before giving your consent, as you can only do this once.
• After the due date, your access to the Online Acceptance Module will be revoked.

2. Making the Fee payment:
• Make the payment of the specified fee according to the 'Tuition Fee Voucher' through the payment
method indicated on it by the due date. LUMS will not accept any other form of payment.
• Please carefully read the 'Fees Refund Policy' before making the fee payment. By proceeding with the
payment, applicants are considered to have accepted the terms and conditions of admission, including the
fees and refund policy.
• The fee for the Fall semester must be paid in a single payment; instalment payments are not permitted.

It is important to understand that if you wish to enroll at LUMS, both your online and the scanned copy of the
signed offer acceptance, along with the payment for the Fall semester's fee, must be submitted by the due
date specified in the electronic 'Fee Bill'. Please do so to avoid the automatic revocation of the conditional
admission offer without further notice.

3. Signing off the “Conditional Offer” of Admission:


• LUMS will release the admission package to all successful applicants in due course. Upon receipt of the hard
copy of the Conditional Offer, all offer holders must sign and upload a scanned copy of the Conditional Offer
letter (all three pages), along with proof of fee payment, on the online Admissions Portal on or before the
specified due date.
• You and your Parent/Guardian are required to sign the 'Conditional Offer' letter. All three pages of the
Conditional Offer must be properly scanned and uploaded on the online portal along with proof of fee
payment.

4. Information on A-level Exams Form (if applicable)


Applicants scheduled to take A-Level exams in May/June 2024 are required to provide detailed and
complete information about their A-Level exams. This includes submitting information on A-Level subjects
and the Statement of Entry through the “Information on A-Level Exams form”. This form can be accessed
through your Online Admission Portal under the 'Admission Status' tab. The information submitted will be
utilized to access your results from the issuing authority and for the issuance of your LUMS Roll Number.
Please be aware that access to this form is permitted on a 'One Time' basis.

Additional Information:
• By accepting the conditional offer of admission, you commit to adhering to the policies outlined in the LUMS
Student Handbook, the LUMS Community Code of Conduct, and the LUMS Health and Safety Guidelines.
Should any conditions or requirements set forth by LUMS during the admission process not be met, the
conditional offer of admission will be revoked.
• If you encounter a change of address after your admission to LUMS, please request the necessary
modification in your official records at the Office of Student Affairs ((osa@lums.edu.pk).
• If you decide to withdraw from the LUMS Undergraduate Degree Programme before classes start, after
accepting the admission offer and making the fee payment, please submit an online withdrawal request
through your 'LUMS Online Admission account. Additionally, provide the account title (name) and a copy
of the CNIC of the person designated for the refund. The fee refund process is typically completed within
two to three weeks after receiving the required documents.
• First Year students cannot take their First Semester off or drop/withdraw from all courses.
• Conditional admits must fulfill their Higher Secondary Degree requirements before Fall 2024 classes start
and meet the minimum grade/marks stipulated in their conditional offer to enroll at LUMS for Fall 2024.

All offer holders are REQUIRED to fulfill all the specified requirements to enroll in this year's Fall semester. Any
failure to meet the requirements mentioned above will result in the immediate cancellation of the conditional
offer of admission. Please note that no further reminders will be issued on this matter.

In Summary:
• Carefully read the detailed terms and conditions outlined in the online 'Conditional Offer' letter.
• A Fee Bill & Voucher and the Fees Refund Policy will be available at the LUMS Online Admission Portal.
• Provide required information through the Emergency Contact Information Form.
• Offer Acceptance Online module will be available to offer holders after the generation of the Fee Bill/Fee
Voucher. If you intend to accept our Conditional Offer, you can do it online and pay the fee by the
stipulated deadline.
• Upon receipt of the hard copy of the Conditional Offer, all offer holders must sign and upload a scanned
copy of the admission letter (all three pages), along with proof of fee payment, on the online Admissions
Portal on or before the specified due date.
• Important details and updates about the Undergraduate Programme will be communicated through your
online application account and email. Therefore, checking your email accounts regularly for any new
information is essential.

To enroll at LUMS, all offer holders are required to complete the offer acceptance process according to
the provided instructions. Please ensure this is done to prevent the cancellation of your conditional offer.

Degree attestation
• If you intend to join LUMS for your degree completion, you must meet the conditions specified on the
Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan's website to have your LUMS undergraduate degree
attested by the HEC. For more details, please visit http://hec.gov.pk.

• Furthermore, students who have completed or are in their final year of higher secondary education
that does not lead to an FA/ICS/ICOM/FSc. Must obtain an equivalence certificate from the Inter Board
Committee of Chairmen (IBCC), Islamabad, Pakistan. This certificate must be submitted to the LUMS
Admissions Office by the deadline(s) specified in the conditional offer letter. For additional information,

Allocation of Major
• Students are admitted to a specific school from the beginning of the Programme and are not assigned
a major at the time of admission except those admitted to the BA-LL. B Programme in SAHSOL.
• Allocation of a preferred major cannot be guaranteed at the time of admission. The assignment of a
major will be governed by the school's policy, primarily based on the student's preferences, their
academic performance at LUMS, and, specifically for the Mushtaq Gurmani School of Humanities and
Social Sciences (MGSHSS), the capacity constraints within the subject area.
