State Capture in South Africa: The highly contentious "State Capture" Report was released following
the court order from a bench of three High Court judges.. Write an essay of 2000-3000 words in which
the following aspects are addressed:

1. Define state capture and give examples in South Africa context.

2. The relationship between state capture, ideology and corruption.
3. Impact of state capture on the economy of South Africa.
4. Provide your group’s worldview by using six analytical criteria as a reference to state capture
5. The former Public Protector conducted an investigation into state capture and the title of the
report is “State of Capture ” (see: www.pprotect.org). In your group’s point of view what are key
findings in the said report and provide practical recommendations on how to address the key
findings.
