Introduction of AI in the travel Industry:-

Trip Genie - “In July 2023, we launched an enhanced version of our AI travel
assistant, TripGenie. This tool provides more convenient, personalized and intuitive
travel planning. It harnesses the concept of the language user interface, providing
users with real-time assistance that significantly enhances convenience and
intuitiveness in the planning process.” - World Economic Forum, Jane Sun (CEO of
Trip.com group)
The results are not just promising, they are transformative. TripGenie has increased
order conversion rates and user retention rates, leading to heightened loyalty and
satisfaction among users.

The Reshaping begins:-

After trip genie’s number of users sky rocketed, other travel companies and industries quickly
started to follow up. Companies like MakeMyTrip, Google Travel and Google Flights, Agoda etc
started to incorporate their software with generative AI tools which increased their market
value and their demand started to increase at a rate never seen before. The industry had now
stepped into a new phase of modernization, where each individual had their own personal
recommendations based on their interests and history.

Userbase:-

All new users and previous users were very keen and curious to try out the new personalized
features they had at the palm of their hands! Airlines, Taxis, Buses were more used that any
other mode of transportation and these 3 saw the most userbase growth ever! AI was
bringing several new changes, users now had the choice to book flights ranging from insanely
affordable prices.

Data Analysis:-

AI did not only bring change to the userbase but also brought many changes in data analysis
and collection. AI now decreased the time taken for companies and researchers to study the
travel patterns according to different seasons and dates! Travel companies could easily
predict increase or decrease in travel patterns before hand! This helped several companies to
keep their prices at a moderate rate which would earn them profit as well as more bookings!
