WARNING
Carriers on the Atellica Magline Transport generate strong magnetic fields that
F can interfere with cardiac medical implants.
Use extreme caution while interacting with sample carriers installed on Atellica
M Magline Transport.
Do not position pacemakers or other implanted medical devices closer than
7.5 cm (3 inches) from the Atellica Magline Transport.

If the vacuum pump control loop is not checked from the Instrument tab, run an Au‐
toCheck sub-system for the vacuum pump.
1. Verify that the peristaltic pump tubing is installed and the peristaltic pump latch is
closed on the tubing.
2. Verify that the IMT multisensor is installed and that the door is closed.
3. Click the Subsystem tab, then click IMT on the left side of the screen.
4. Click Auto Align Subsystem.
If the IMT rotary valve fails to auto align, fill the sample port with 0.5 mL DI water and
click the Cycle Targets several times until the sample port empties. Then redo Auto Align
IMT RV.
The result should be black numbers in both Air and Liquid boxes for both Std A and
Std B; if the numbers are not black, repeat the prime by clicking Prime All Fluids (step
6).
The IMT Alignment tool helps to ensure that the manifold sample port position is in cor‐
rect radial alignment to the dilution arm. Once this alignment is set, the Dilution Arm au‐
to-alignment will position the probe in the sample port in the optimal off-center position
for performance.
The Stopped state will also allow the user to enter Diagnostics.
2. Connect to the analyzer diagnostics via Remote Module Access ( Remote Module Ac‐
cess (RMA) / LDAT-000.840.03).
3. Unlock the front lid:
a) In Diagnostics, click the Instrument tab.
b) Click Unlock Front Lid.
4. Open the front lid.
Fig. 5: Opening the Front Lid
5. Verify that the Probe Radial Alignment ( Probe Radial Alignment / LDAT-010.842.06)
and the Align Upper Arm to Home ( Align Upper Arm to Home / LDAT-010.842.06)
have been completed successfully.
6. Auto-align the dilution arm if adjustments were made in step 5. Otherwise, continue
to the next step.
a) Click the Auto Align tab.
10. Visually verify that the probe will enter the oval slot in the IMT alignment tool. If the
probe is within the oval slot then this procedure is completed. Otherwise, continue to
the next step.

11. Using a long T-30, loosen the three screws that mount the manifold mounting bracket
to the IMT base mount.
Fig. 8: Loosening the Manifold Mounting Bracket Screws
12. Move the IMT Detector Manifold and bracket front to back until the slot in the IMT
alignment tool and the probe line up.
13. Once the alignment is complete maintain this position with one hand while tighten‐
ing the bracket mounting screws with the other.
14. Initialize the Dilution Arm by clicking the Initialize Subsystem button on the bottom
left of the screen.
15. Remove the IMT alignment tool from the IMT sample port.
16. Auto align the dilution arm:
a) Click the Auto Align tab.
b) Click the DilutionArm checkbox.
