OPERATION
The BWB "QBH-1" is a 2 way, single line, automatic relay. It is normally installed near an actuator or inside a
control panel. It receives instrument pressure (Port A) from any safety system that has a component which
requires a rapid release of pressure during shutdown.

When instrument pressure (Port A) is applied, It will automatically push the relay into the open position.
Pressure will also pass through the stem, the outlet (Port B), and on to the actuator or system; the exhaust (Port
C) is blocked.

When the safety system is shutdown, it will bleed the instrument pressure (Port A) from the relay. When the
reduction of instrument pressure (Port A) reaches 20%, the spring will automatically push the relay into the
closed position. The outlet (Port B) will be open to the exhaust (Port C), allowing rapid release of pressure on the
actuator or system.

When instrument pressure (Port A) is returned, the relay will automatically return to the open position.
