AGOR PECTORIS

WHAT IS IT?
It is a type of chest pain
caused by reduced blood flow
to the heart. Angina pectoris
is a symptom of coronary
artery disease.
TYPES
Stable angina pectoris.
It is the most common type of angina pectoris. It usually occurs during
activity (effort) and disappears with rest or medications for angina
pectoris.
For example, it is possible that the pain that appears when you climb a
slope on foot or when walking when it is cold is angina pectoris.
TYPES
Unstable angina pectoris
It is unpredictable and occurs at rest. Or, the pain from angina pectoris
worsens and occurs with less physical exertion. It is usually severe
and lasts longer than stable angina, maybe 20 minutes or more.
The pain does not go away with rest or with the usual medications for
angina pectoris. If blood flow does not improve, the heart runs out of
oxygen and a heart attack occurs.
TYPES
Variant angina pectoris
Also called Prinzmetal's angina pectoris, it does not occur due to
coronary artery disease. Its cause is a spasm in the arteries of the
heart that temporarily reduces blood flow. The main symptom is
severe chest pain. It usually occurs cyclically, usually at rest and at
night. It is possible that the pain will be relieved with medication.
