many times and painted with red and white paint. The house had a wooden floor. A row of postholes enclosed a space
covered by a thin layer of debris in the front of the southern facade of the building. The layer is identical with the layer
of the destroyed southern wall and is supposedly structurally related to it. The floor of the enclosed space is situated
0,40 m lower than the floors of the other rooms. It was not made from wood, and the debris is resting on the unburned
trampled clay. The pottery assemblage yielded by the building is characteristic of the first phase of the Kodzhadermen
culture (fig. 3).
