2. Current Solutions to the identified problem / prior art (at least three)

- Allowing students who has small business and entrepreneur students to showcase their
products and services in TRADEANCE (Ecommerce System)

- Offer incentives and promotional opportunities for students and entrepreneur students on the
e-commerce platform

- Create dedicated fundraising sections on the e-commerce platform where schools can sell
merchandise, event tickets, or accept donations. Enable features such as fundraising
campaigns, progress tracking, and social sharing to increase engagement and reach
fundraising goals.

- Incorporate e-commerce projects into the school curriculum, offering hands-on learning
experiences in business management, marketing, and digital technology. Provide access to
resources such as tutorials, case studies, and industry experts to enhance the learning
experience.

- Ensure the e-commerce platform is accessible 24/7 by investing in robust infrastructure and
reliable hosting services. Implement monitoring systems to detect and address any technical
issues promptly, minimizing downtime and ensuring uninterrupted access for users.

- Prioritize security measures such as SSL encryption, secure payment gateways, and data
protection protocols to safeguard user information and transactions. Implement verification
processes for sellers and product quality controls to ensure a safe and trustworthy shopping
experience.

- Establish clear and transparent return and refund policies on the e-commerce platform,
outlining procedures, timelines, and conditions for returns. Provide user-friendly interfaces for
initiating returns and refunds, along with dedicated customer support channels to assist users
throughout the process.

3. Proposed Solution (process or products)

- To develop an E-commerce system that able to allow the students to conduct a small business to
showcase their products and services.

- Design and develop an E-commerce Platform that is able to separate the customer, seller and
admin. The admin will control the user account, the seller is the one who conduct a small business to
showcase their products and services and the customer is the one who buys products and book
services

4. Methodology
 Planning

This project aims to develop a web application-based E-commerce Store and Service

Provider System for a vibrant community of students and teachers at Iloilo Science and Technology

University (ISATU). Specifically, it aims to:

1. develop a user-friendly e-commerce website that offers a wide range of products and services

relevant to the ISAT-U community.

2. streamline the purchasing process and enhance convenience for students, faculty, and staff

through online transactions.

3. foster a digital ecosystem that promotes entrepreneurship and innovation among students by

providing a platform to showcase and sell their products.

4. improve administrative efficiency by centralizing procurement processes and automating

routine tasks related to inventory management and order fulfillment.

5. enhance communication and collaboration between different departments and units within the

university through the integration of service modules and information sharing functionalities.

 Analysis, Design and Development

Tradeance Web Application System

1.1 The user must log in in order to use the system.

1.2 The system allows the user to choose commerce or services provision in the system.

1.3 The system allows the user to post their products or services.

1.4 The system allows the user to buy, sell and book for a service.

1.5 The user should be able to log out after using the system.

User Registration

2.1 The users of this system are students, faculties and staff of Iloilo Science and Technology
University.
2.2 The system allows the user to input his personal details in order to register his account.

2.3 For user verification, the system requires the user to upload an ID that supports that he/she is
from Iloilo Science and Technology University.
