Nouns Functions and Determiners / Grammar (PRACTICE)

TASK ONE: Identify the function of the underlined noun phrases in these sentences. Write
(S) for subject, (DO) for direct object, (IO) for indirect object, (OP) for object of preposition,
(SC) for subjective complement, (OC) for objective complement ,(AP) for Appositive , (AT)
for attributive and (DA) for direct address.

1. The old villa is now a big, modern mansion.

TASK THREE: Read the passage and fill in the blanks with appropriate determiners.
