Standard 10 - Collaboration

Artifact #1

Artifact Professional Development Meeting/ERD

Group Meeting.

Standard CCTS.10. Collaboration.

The teacher seeks appropriate leadership roles
and opportunities to take responsibility for
student learning, to collaborate with learners,
families, colleagues, other school
professionals, and community members to
ensure learner growth, and to advance the
profession.

Standard in Your Own Words To assume accountability for students'

learning and work together with students,
families, coworkers, other educators, and
community members to promote professional
development, teachers look for roles and
opportunities that allow them to exercise
responsible leadership.

Indicator 10 (c) Engages collaboratively in the

school-wide effort to build a shared vision and
supportive culture, identify common goals,
and monitor and evaluate progress toward
those goals.
- An educator participates cooperatively
in the endeavor to create a common
vision and supportive culture for the
entire school, sets goals, and tracks
and assesses advancement toward
those goals.

Description of Artifact The artifact is an image from the professional

development meeting that happens weekly at
my placement. This meeting specifically was
designed to have different professional peers
from different departments broken up into
separate groups where one person led the
group in the tasks that we were supposed to
do during the time allotted. In my group, we
had three English teachers (including me),
one alternative education teacher, one science
teacher, and two math teachers. During this
time we followed a document that was
provided to us by the administration and we
were asked to reflect on the classroom
behavior packet and review and discuss the
RTI/MTSS framework handout. With me
being a student teacher I was able to
collaborate and listen to my professional peers
and reflect on this framework and ideology
that was introduced to me.

Rationale This artifact fits the standard and the indicator

because I actively sought professional
collaboration as well as introspection and
problem-solving during this meeting. We
discussed different issues in and out of the
classroom and how we could utilize the
MTSS framework to benefit our school and
our individual education goals as teachers.
Part of this meeting was writing down
suggestions and personal perspectives on how
the school could improve upon the structure
of managing students', curriculum, behaviors,
etc.
Artifact #2

Artifact Google Classroom Stream.

Standard CCTS.10. Collaboration.

The teacher seeks appropriate leadership roles
and opportunities to take responsibility for
student learning, to collaborate with learners,
families, colleagues, other school
professionals, and community members to
ensure learner growth, and to advance the
profession.

Standard in Your Own Words To assume accountability for students'

learning and work together with students,
families, coworkers, other educators, and
community members to promote professional
development, teachers look for roles and
opportunities that allow them to exercise
responsible leadership.

Indicator 10 (g) Uses technological tools and a variety

of communication strategies to build local and
global learning communities that engage
learners, families, and colleagues.
- An educator combines a range of
communication techniques with
technology to create local and
worldwide learning communities that
include students, family, and
coworkers.

Description of Artifact This artifact is the Google Classroom stream

which is a central Hub Within Google
Classroom where teachers and students can
interact share resources and engage in
discussions. As a long-term substitute, I
utilize Google Classroom to post
announcements to the stream as a means to
communicate important information to
students, such as upcoming assignments, class
events, or reminders. these announcements
are displayed prominently at the top of the
stream and can include text, and links, The
stream is organized chronologically, with the
most recent post appearing at the top.
Rationale This artifact fits the standard and the indicator
because teachers and students can initiate and
participate in class discussions directly within
the stream. discussions can be threaded
Allowing for organized conversations around
specific topics. This feature promotes
collaboration and engagement among class
members. Students can access assignments
directly from the stream and teachers can
provide feedback and grades within the
assignment interface.
