saying about their artwork and how they explain each material
and its imagery and/or symbols.

Differentiation:
For my students with ED’s I will sit with them longer and
conversate with them, so their attention span doesn’t run out
too quick.

- Listen to a few student responses, then they can tell
their table groups their response. I will listen as they
share with their tables.
- I will set out different materials for students to use
such as feathers, glue, scissors, paper, buttons,
paints, markers, crayons, colored pencils,
watercolors, playdoh, etc.
- Students will be able to freely create their artwork in
whatever setting they would like (at their desk, at the
group table, on the floor, at the rug, etc.)
- I will go to each student and take note on how they
are using each material and how.
Authentic Materials: (Describe authentic real-life, hands-on
materials.)
Buttons, colored pencils, scissors, glue, paper, crayons,
playdoh, buttons, paper, paints, watercolor, any other art
materials I might have on hand.
Adult Roles:
Walk around the room as students are creating their art and
make sure students are using materials as intended.
