FERTILIZATION : SPERM TO ZYGOTE DEVELOPMENT : EMBRYO TO FETUS
Beginning by sexual intercourse and reaching By week 4, the embryo begins to form
the point when a penis ejaculates, the sperm
swims up the vaginal canal, reaching uterus and
a head, a heart, and a tail. By week 6, a
entering one of the fallopian tubes. Through that brain, eyes, and limbs form. Finally, by
process multiple sperms don’t make it to the end week 10, the fetus is formed.
and only one sperm gets to penetrate the egg
and fertilize it.

IMPLANTATION : EMBRYO TO FETUS

Then, the fertilized egg, rather known as a zygote, contains the
23 chromosomes from the egg and 23 chromosomes from the
sperm; resulting in a total of 46 chromosomes. The process of
the zygote traveling to the uterus takes up to 5 days, during the
travel it divides into a blastocyst that implants into the uterine
wall. After 15 days of conception, an embryonic disk forms and
is protected by amniotic fluid as the embryo fully develops.
LABOR: 3 STAGES
Inside of the placenta that supply oxygen and the umbilical cord that
furnish with nutrients, the fetus is able to finish developing the skin,
hair, bones, connective tissue and muscles. Towards near week 36, labor
starts.
1st stage: The cervix begins to dilate by approximately 10 inches.
2nd stage: contractions begin to occur as expulsion causes the fetus
to be pushed through the cervix and vagina. Lastly: the baby is born.
3rd stage: is when the placenta is later delivered through further
contractions.
