Arrugas en Papel A3
Arrugas en Papel A3
SYMPTOM:
Paper creasing occurs near the trailing edge when feeding A3 (LG) sheets from the second mainframe paper
feed unit, the paper feed tray on the Paper Feed Unit PB3160, or paper feed tray on the Paper Feed Unit
PB3150.
CAUSE:
The tray’s side fences or end fences may not be set correctly. When this happens, there is too much space
between the paper and fences at two corners (see Photo 1 below). This causes the paper to skew and form
creases.
Note: On the predecessor model (D111, D142, D143, D144; see Photo 2), there is no gap between the
paper and fences, even if the fences are not set correctly.
Note: There is no gap at the two corners, and the paper is fixed at these spots.
Note: There is a gap at these two points with SRA3 sized paper.

SOLUTION:
Temporary SOLUTION
- Advise users how to set the end and side fences correctly.
- Advise the user to close the paper tray slowly when the tray is loaded to capacity (full).
Note: This is because if the tray is closed with force when it is full, the end fences and side fences may
move.
Permanent SOLUTION
The following bracket [A] (P/N: D1492852) and coin screw [B] (P/N: D1492854) have been added.
Applied to the production line: December 2013
