Direction: After watching, answer the following questions:

1. What is neurotic suffering?

● Individuals who exhibit neuroticism are more likely than others to experience anxiety,
guilt, envy, rage, and sadness on a regular and severe basis. They may be especially
vulnerable to the stresses of their surroundings. Individuals who are neurotic may
perceive commonplace events as serious and dangerous.

2. What is authentic suffering?

● Carl Jung talked about embracing the genuine suffering and anguish that come from
loss and trauma in our hearts. Neuroses arise from attempts to escape this suffering.

3. What is the parallelism between Chiron and Christ?

● Jung mentioned that Chiron's suffering from his abandonment was what made him such
a wonderful and compassionate mentor to so many people. The phrase, when used in a
clinical context, describes how there may occasionally be similarities between the
circumstances of the client and the therapist. Since they are comparable, they are
parallel. The therapist runs the risk of becoming directive because they don't always
realize it or because they mistakenly think that what worked for them should also work
for the client. According to Jung, the Christ symbol is a component of the Trinity's larger
symbol. Over the ages, both the individual and the community have undergone a
process of growth and awareness that is symbolized by the Trinity.

4. How is Carl Jung by his own personal experiences and narrative, a wounded healer?
● Doctors who have experienced illness are referred to as "The Wounded Healer" by Carl
Jung as an archetype. Carl Jung teaches about the archetype of the wounded healer,
who, as a result of painful experiences, embarks on their own personal healing work
and, in doing so, is empowered to heal others. In certain cases, wounded healers
perform their own work and heal others concurrently.

5. As a future nurse, how will your wounds help you in caring for your patients?
● With my past wounds, I can relate it to myself to make a quick decision, and I can help
my patient on how to deal with that problem.
