- Formwork is made out of prefabricated form pieces that will be reused on the slabs, formwork from bridge 12/4 with height 1200 mm will be reused as slab is
around 630-800 mm height.

- Form oil is applied to forms before they are mounted.
- Weld nuts for fromties will be welded to an 8 mm steel rod that will connect to the opposite side to another weld nut and glasfiber form ties will go through the
formwork to take the pressure from casting and will be placed on two different levels. This can also be done by connecting the 8 mm rod to one of the montage
bars in the bottom.
- Important that glasfiber rods are long enough that no part of the weld nut or 8 mm steel rod reaches into the concrete cover.
- All sharp cornes will be softened with the use of a 21 mm wodden triangle list montaged in the form except for the open ends of the bridge where a 75 mm list
will be used. Signs of this 75 mm list can be seen on the bottom right of picture above. Beware of concrete cover after placement of triangle lists.
- Concrete cover to the bottom is 50 mm including the montage bars, 16 mm on the bottom and 12 mm on the sides of the slab.
- Concrete cover for sides and top are 35 mm.
- Through the bottom slab there are both a pipe for lights in the bridge (32 mm) but also 5 pc. of fi110 mm pipes going straight through the slab. These needs to be
tied down so that they do not risk to float up during casting.
- ‘Norskor’ will be used for setting the height of the top layer, these will have a safety bend to avoid injuries and will later be cut to the correct height, see picture.
After setting heights of montage bars on norskor, check heights with surveryor so we get correct top level of steel.
- Bars larger than fi16 mm cannot be joint at the same cut. See BMUK EBC for details.
- Space for concrete sampling and casting spots need to be prepared and measured by surveyor.
- Perform works required for earthing.
- Survey tolerance check of both steel and formwork including measuring the spot for concrete sampling. Cubes for sampling will be taken
during casting but as a backup we also measure a spot where a cylinder can be taken if necessary.
- If tempertures during casting will be sub zero we need to place cables for concrete computer, see document “Temperaturspricksberäkning”
- Prior to casting a cast meeting will be held where detailed man power planning will be done. Sufficient plans will also be made for possible
weather scenarios and for any other problem that might occur during casting.
- Lambda will notify Skanska when the works are ready for visual inspection, during this checklist 1 will be filled out by Lambda.
- The client will be notified about castings in advance and be given a possibility for a joint inspection.
- For detailed planning regarding the casting a cast program and schedule will be developed.
- Concrete pump will be placed and installed according to ETS from Skanska Teknik.

- During casting checklist 2 will be controlled and filled out by Lambda.

- After/during casting wall/slab connections will be sprayed with retarder for a coarse surface. If cold/rainy weather prohibits this, joints will be sand blasted later.
- Concrete surface will be machined with ‘helicopters’ with the use of steel plate, when surface is finished it will be covered with tarps and/or plastic.
- Retarder will be cleaned off the day after casting.
- Strike formwork after OK from Skanska supervisor.

- Cut form ties along the concrete surface and repair as necessary.

• Frame Legs, Wings walls & Superstructure

- Make sure connection between wall and slab is cleaned of retarder and sufficiently coarse before continuing works.
- Construct formwork for legs & wings starting with the inside. Follow dimensions of approved drawings for form.
- Formwork panels are prepared on the ground and lifted down with crane.
- Formwork will be supported by supports connecting to the bottom slab with concrete screws. These will be placed
to not collide with scaffolding towers, surveyor marks towers on the bottom slab before mounting form supports.
See sketches for dimensions of formwork and typical solutions.
While opening the formwork work on heights will be done with the use of a scaffolding.
Form oil is applied to formwork, where new planks are used it is sprayed twice to minimize the amount of wood
getting stuck in the concrete surface. Don,’t forget to put oil on triangular lists as well.
- Erect working platform on the outside, inspection including ‘green sign’ must be signed and mounted before use.
- Concrete cover for walls are 35 mm on the inside and 35 mm on the outside.
- Montage bars for walls will be done with fi12 mm bars.
- Cooling pipes should be installed according to document ‘Temperatursprickåtgärder’. Before formwork is closed
make sure that cooling pipes are connected with double hose clamps and tested to be waterproof.
- Cables for measuring temperature also needs to be installed before closing of the formwork.
- Perform works required for earthing in frame legs & wings
- Construct formwork for frame legs/wings on the outside AFTER cleaning out the bottom.
- Construct supporting scaffolding for bridge roadway arch.
- A piece of wood (45x170) should be placed under each feet of the scaffolding and correct height of the
feet should be adjusted before continuing, feets should also be placed so that it is later easy to hit wedge
with a sledge hammer when lowering the scaffolding. When outside the bottomslab the wood under

scaffolding should be 440 mm x 440 mm and minimum 90 mm thick, if drawing requires thicker the rest
of the height can be done with a 170x170x45 mm board.
- Safety harness with approved anchor point must be used during montage of scaffolding. All personnel
shall be familiarized with the fall rescue procedure explained under section 11. Risk Inventory.

where an unprotected edge exists (i.e. valv form, edge beam etc).
- Top floor will be completely floored and railing put up where there is a risk of falling.
- Three crowns should be put to the correct height before wooden beams are placed, surveyor will assist with this.
- Construct formwork for bridge roadway arch including edgebeam, see sketches for dimensions.
- Formties cannot be but inside the edgebeam.
- ‘Flytbräda’ on the bottom inside of edgebeam form should be minimum 150 mm and have a small
inclination away from edgebeam, this to make it easier to cast and vibrate edgebeam but also to
prevent and gathering of water close to edgebeam.
- Under formwork a plastic will be placed to minimize cleaning of scaffolding.
- Lay reinforcement and make room for casting spots and concrete sampling.
- Before finishing reinforcement make sure that all pipes for cables have been installed including the
cut outs for lights
- Make sure reinforcement for consoles can be installed before putting up too much formwork.
- See sketch for formwork solution for consoles and follow dimensions from designer.
- Bolts on edgebeam and wings on top of bridge SHOULD have electrical contact with
reinforcement, this will be done through earthing and the railing.
- Part of bolts outside of concrete is taped to protect them from splash of concrete.
- Montage EKP according to model, OK to weld where EKP is placed in model.
- Montage cables for concrete computer according to “Temperaturspricksåtgärder”.
- Perform works required for earthing in superstructure.
- Inspection of loadbearing form support will be done by Skanska and third party inspector.
- Survey tolerance check including measuring spot for concrete sampling.

- Cast concrete
- Prior to casting a cast meeting will be held where detailed man power planning will be done. Sufficient plans will also be made for possible weather scenarios

- Before casting a visual inspection will be done and checklist 1 will be finished and signed before casting.
- The client will be notified about castings in advance and be given a possibility for a joint inspection.
- For detailed planning regarding the casting a cast program will be developed.
- Concrete pump will be placed and installed according to ETS from Skanska Teknik.

- Cooling pipes and measurement of temperature will be started as casting begins.
- During casting checklist 2 will be controlled and filled out by Lambda.
- Surface will be machined with ‘helicopters’ with the use of steel plate, finished surface will be covered as soon as possible with plastic and if applicable some
water on top. If necessary sprinklers will be used to keep concrete from drying.
- Edgebeam will be troweled by hand with filterboard and covered with plastic.

- After casting
- Mount handrails & screens before striking working platforms.
- Start of striking form & form support after OK from Skanska supervision.
- Scaffolding is lowered in the top so that the formwork can be dismantled from the top level floor.
- After formwork have been dismantled concrete surfaces are inspected and fixed as necessary.
- Once surfaces are ok scaffolding is dismantled.
- Formwork for walls will be dismantled after the scaffolding is out on the inside and outside it can go along at the same time.
- When all formwork is done the rest of the structure is repaired where necessary before final inspection of the concrete works.
