One renowned Filipino National Scientist is Dr. Fe


del Mundo, who made significant contributions to the
field of pediatrics. She was the first woman to be
admitted to Harvard Medical School and became a
pioneer in child and maternal health care. Dr. Fe del
Mundo established the first pediatric hospital in the
Philippines, the Children's Medical Center, which has
since served as a model for pediatric care in the
country.
