 There are three kinds of Salts available in Pakistan:
 Sea Salt (Solar Salt).
 Rock Salt.
 Lake Salt.
 The best quality of sea salt found in Pakistan is as good as 98 % percent
pure NACL.
 At present the rock salt mining is heavily underutilized in Pakistan with a
total annual production of mined rock salt at around 4 million per annual.
 The farmers salt range of Pakistan stretches from calabagh to Jhelum,
covering the district of mianwali, Chakwal in the province of Punjab at
estimated 12billion tons.
 In the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, geological surveys of Pakistan and
PMDC (Pakistan mineral development corporation) have determined the
existence of 2.65 billion tons.
 These salts takes are located some 300km from the city of Karachi and to
date many of them are still virgin lakes that have not been torched or
excavated.
