Good Afternoon Sir!

Our previous lesson was all about COMMUNICATION AIDS AND STRATEGIES USING
TOOLS OF TECHNOLOGY. We tackle the types of communication strategies, general guidelines for creating
an effective presentation, as well as the type of communication aids. I learned that having these tools and
strategies in communication, it improves my skills in making presentations, for example, in a class, or meeting
or even events na ako yung magiging presenter or speaker.

I also learned that among the guidelines for creating an effective presentation, the most important one for me is
Checking the spelling and grammar
because the purpose of a presentation po is to provide information that is easy to understand, kase it’s not all
about the designs, font, etc.
It's all about the sentence of the content on the presentation if it's understandable sa mga viewers or audience

As a student aspiring to become an effective public speaker, here are some steps you can take:

1. **Practice Regularly:** Like any skill, public speaking improves with practice. Take every opportunity to
speak in front of others, whether it's in class presentations, club meetings, or informal gatherings. The more
you practice, the more comfortable and confident you'll become.

2. **Prepare Thoroughly:** Before speaking, invest time in preparing your content. Research your topic,
organize your ideas logically, and create a clear outline or structure for your speech. Practice your delivery
multiple times to ensure fluency and coherence.

3. **Know Your Audience:** Tailor your speech to the needs and interests of your audience. Consider their
knowledge level, preferences, and expectations, and adapt your language, examples, and tone accordingly.
Engage with your audience by asking questions, using anecdotes, or incorporating interactive elements.

4. **Focus on Delivery:** Pay attention to your voice, body language, and presence while speaking. Speak
clearly and confidently, vary your tone and pace to maintain interest, and use gestures and facial expressions
to emphasize key points. Maintain eye contact with your audience to establish rapport and connection.

5. **Manage Nervousness:** It's natural to feel nervous before speaking in public, but learning to manage your
nerves is essential. Practice relaxation techniques such as deep breathing or visualization to calm your nerves
before speaking. Focus on the message you want to convey rather than on your anxiety.

6. **Seek Feedback:** Solicit feedback from peers, teachers, or mentors after each speaking opportunity. Ask
for specific feedback on your strengths and areas for improvement, and use this feedback to refine your
speaking skills. Consider joining a public speaking club or taking a public speaking course to receive structured
feedback and support.

7. **Learn from Others:** Study and analyze the speeches of effective public speakers to learn from their
techniques and strategies. Watch TED talks, speeches, or presentations by renowned speakers, and identify
what makes them compelling and impactful. Incorporate elements of their style into your own speaking
repertoire.

8. **Be Authentic:** Authenticity is key to connecting with your audience. Be genuine, sincere, and true to
yourself in your communication. Share personal stories, insights, or experiences that resonate with your
audience and make your message more relatable and compelling.

By following these steps and dedicating yourself to continuous learning and improvement, you can become a
more effective public speaker and confidently communicate your ideas to others.
