Personal Statement
I am Sajjad Ahmed, a dedicated and driven individual with a strong academic background in Computer Science.
I hold both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Computer Science (BS-CS & MS-CS) from The Shaheed
Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science and Technology (SZABIST) Hyderabad Campus, Pakistan. Having
completed my BS-CS in 2020, I pursued an advanced education in Computer Science and recently completed
my Master's degree from SZABIST in May 2023.
Throughout my undergraduate studies, I undertook a comprehensive curriculum in Computer Science, covering
a wide range of subjects such as Computer Organization, Computer Architecture, Analysis & Design of
Algorithms, Computer Programming Languages, Human-Computer Interaction, Systems Analysis and Design,
Operating Systems, Computer Networks, Data Structures, DBMS, Artificial Intelligence, Discrete Mathematics,
Statistics, Professional Practices, Graphics Designing, and Software Engineering. For my Final Year Project, I
focused on a hardware project titled "The Smart Dressing Table Mirror."
In addition to my academic achievements, I actively engaged in research and publications. I had the opportunity
to present research papers at prestigious international conferences such as the IEEE International Conference on
Engineering, Technologies and Applied Sciences (ICETAS 2019) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. One notable
contribution was a research paper titled "Smart Mirror for Home and Work Environment." Additionally, I
successfully collaborated with fellow students and faculty to develop a hardware design prototype called the
"BLUE MIRROR" during my fourth semester.
Throughout my academic journey, I undertook various programming projects utilizing languages such as JAVA,
C#, (HTML+CSS+JAVASCRIPT), PHP, and database systems. I actively participated in extracurricular
activities and achieved recognition, including winning the 2nd prize in a Hardware Design Project competition
during my first semester. I also honed my skills by participating in coding competitions and attending
workshops on Arduino, Python, and Image Processing. Moreover, I conducted training sessions on Photo
Editing Workshop at SZABIST through ACM, showcasing my commitment to personal and professional
development.
During my time at SZABIST, I served as a dedicated member of the Association for Computing Machinery
(ACM) and held the position of Vice President of the ACM SZABIST Hyderabad Student Chapter in 2019. In
my spare time, I volunteered at an orphanage, engaging with children through teaching and games. Additionally,
I utilized my video editing skills to contribute to educational video projects for a school. Furthermore, I
volunteered at the Hyderabad Literature Festival (HLF-4 and HLF-5) in 2019 and 2020.
I gained practical experience through roles such as an IT Assistant at the Allied School Hyderabad and as a
Technical Assistant (IT) during an internship with Electronic Diary. Following my Bachelor's degree, I joined
NME Construction Management Inc., a U.S based construction and engineering company, where I started as a
Graphic Designer and Web Developer and progressed to the role of IT Support Engineer cum Manager for their
Pakistan office. Subsequently, during my master's degree, I worked as a Graphic Designer at SZABIST and later
joined Verge Systems Pvt Ltd, a software house company, as a UI/UX Designer for project-based positions. I
further expanded my experience as a Product Designer at MONARCH Institute of International Studies for six
months. Currently, I am employed as an ICT Lab Engineer and Visual Designer at The City School.
My passion for computer science traces back to my high school years when I developed a fascination for
computer video games. This interest led me to explore programming, photo and video editing, and webpage
design as hobbies. I have always been driven to discover new technologies and explore their applications since
childhood.
After completing my Intermediate education, I focused on enhancing my English language skills and began
teaching computer courses at an academy. I also gained practical experience by assisting my brother in
troubleshooting various technical issues related to networking, programs, and operating systems in his computer
shop. These experiences solidified my decision to pursue a career in Computer Science, enabling me to delve
into programming languages, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, design, and video editing.

The rapid growth of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence fields has captivated me, fueling a strong desire to
become a Data Scientist and Researcher. Consequently, I have decided to pursue further studies in the field of
Data Science. My ultimate goal is to establish a career that embraces continuous learning, innovation, and
exploration of new technologies, fields, and areas within computer science. In addition to my aspirations in Data
Science, I possess versatile skills as a Full-Stack Developer, Software Engineer, Data Warehouse Engineer, and
Architect for front-end and back-end development.
Motivated by a personal conviction to contribute to society's education and well-being, I intend to make
meaningful contributions in these areas. I am deeply grateful for the unwavering support of my family, who
have encouraged me to pursue higher education and have shown remarkable patience throughout my journey.
To further advance my career as a Data Scientist and Researcher, I am eager to pursue a Master's degree,
followed by a Ph.D. Additionally, I plan to acquire additional certifications and diplomas in Data Science. The
encouragement and support I have received from my professors, teachers, and friends have reinforced my
decision to pursue a career in Data Science.
In conclusion, I am confident that my solid academic background, practical experience, passion for computer
science, and dedication to personal growth will contribute to my success in achieving my desired degree and
embarking on a fulfilling career as a Data Scientist and Researcher.
