Welcome to the MESBG Table Top Con Tournament, an 800pt

Lord of the Rings Middle Earth Strategy Battle Game
Tournament hosted by Table Top Con.
Hopefully this players pack will give you everything you need to know for this
two-day, 5 game event.

EVENT SPECIFICS:
When: 25-26th of May 2024
Where: Southport Community Centre
Game Size: 800 pts
Rounds: 5 rounds, 2 hours each in length.
Tournament Organiser: me, Liam Visman
Ticket Cost: $35 Purchased with Event Entry
List Due: Midnight, Friday, 17th of May

ARMY COMPOSITION:
Each player will be required to bring a single 800pt army - either Good, or Evil.
Armies should be built using current Games Workshop Armies of the Lord of
the Rings and Armies of the Hobbit sourcebooks as well as other relevant
supplements. The Middle Earth Strategy Battle Game rulebook and all
associated FAQ's/Errata will be used.

GAMEPLAY:
This tournament will be using the Veto system as follows.
Each round will have a choice of three scenarios, to be announced on the day.
At the beginning of each round, both players will roll off. The winner of the
roll-off will choose the scenario to discard, while the loser will choose between
the remaining two scenarios.

SCORING:
Points for the tournament will be awarded via the following;

Major Victory (5 or more VP;s that your opponent) - 25 points

Minor Victory (1 to 4 points more than your opponent) - 20 points
Draw - 15 points
Minor Loss (your opponent achieved a Minor Victory) - 10 points
Major Loss (your opponent achieved a Major Victory) - 5 points.

Fully Painted army (at least 3 colours) - 10 points

Fully Based army - 10 points
Approved list submitted before due date - 10 points

11:30 - End of Round 1, Start of lunch
12:20 - End of Lunch, Announcement of Round 2
12:30 - Start round 2
2:30 - End of Round 2, Announcement of Round 3
2:40 - Start of Round 3
4:40 - End of Round 3, End of play Day 1
6:00 - Event Door close

Day 2
9:00 - Doors open
9:30 - Start of Round 4
11:30 - End of Round 4, set up for Favourite Army, Lunch
12:20 - End of Lunch, vote for favourite army
12:30 - End of voting, Round 5 announcement
12:40 - Start of Round 5
2:40 - End of Round 5, best sport votes, final tally
3:00 - Prizes and Wrap-up
6:00 - Event Door close

First, Second, Third, Wooden spoon.
Favourite Army, Decided by players.
Best Sport, decided by players.
