ROCK and ROLL

Rock and roll originated in
Cleveland in the late 1940’s and it
derived most directly from the
rhythm and blues music of the
1940s, which itself developed from
earlier blues, the beat-heavy jump
blues, boogie woogie, up-tempo
jazz, and swing music.

Bill Haley was one of the early rock

and roll singers and he died in
1981at the young age of 56 in
Harlingen Texas. He was a loving
father of 4 children and he was a
well-respected man in the rock and
roll community. Some of the well
known work that haley produced
was rock around the clock and new
rock the joint which still are listened
to by thousands of rock and roll fans
around the globe.
Elvis Presley was a popular
American singer and actor many
would describe him as a cultural
icon. However he unfortunately he
died at the age of 42 leaving the
rock and roll community heart
broken. He produced songs that are
loved today. Some examples of this
is Cant help falling in love

In rock and roll there are many

different types of instruments
used and some of these are guitar
piano electric guitar drums and
saxophone and there are more
that were commonly heard in a
rock and roll song
