English plays a crucial role in current global communication.

As a result,
internationally standardized English tests like IELTS have become popular, especially
in Vietnam. It is undeniable that this certificate brings many opportunities for learners,
but it also has challenges. This essay will discuss both sides of the IELTS test.

On the one hand, there are a number of obvious advantages to the IELTS test. The
IELTS test gives more career opportunities. English is a global language, so many
corporations ask workers to fluently speak and listen in English. Taking this
certificate with a high band also means your ability is very good. You can have good
jobs not only inside the country but also abroad. Moreover, you will be more
confident in your communication. Before people take part in that exam, they have to
study so hard. If the result is good, that means they practice very well in
pronunciation and gain many vocabulary and collocations. That leads them to be more
confident in communication.

On the other hand, the IELTS test can affect our lives negatively. IELTS tests cost a
lot of time. You need to learn four skills: listening, speaking, writing, and reading.
Each skill requires many factors that are different. To get a high score, you have to
learn a lot and be patient for a long time. Furthermore, this exam doesn’t always
reflect the real ability of English. Some people just focus on how to het a high band
instead of learning to understand and get knowledge. So, there is some English center
that only teaches tips without seriously imparting them to many students. Some
people find out how to get the topics or questions before starting an exam that lead
them to rate their ability in English wrong.

Conclusion: In my opinion, although this certificate presents difficult challenges, I

support everyone getting the IELTS test because I believe that it will offer more
opportunities for our future and make you more confident in communication in
English.
