First off, I hope that this letter finds you in your best shape despite the global adversity
we have been encountering.
On behalf of my department – BSAIS, I am Eujames Tongue R. Cano from BSAIS 4A.
We are all aware that this pandemic has brought us nothing but loss of source of income,
big opportunities, and unfortunately, life of many. It also became a big challenge
especially in educational sector of our country that forced us to shift from face-to-face
class to distance learning. With that being said, even the on-the-job training (OJT) has
been held virtually.
It has been two years since Bulacan Polytechnic College organized its on-the-job training
in a traditional way. In those almost two-year virtual setups due to the magnitude of the
pandemic, students were left with no choice but to abide online OJT. However, as the
pandemic continues to surge, the rollouts of vaccines also increase, protecting not only
the students but also the public against the virus. Additionally, quarantines have been
already lifted as the province progresses and copes up with the current situation. Various
face-to-face interactions such as classes along with proper precautions.
Conducting an experiential learning such as OJT will help us to familiarize a certain
working environment. It could also be a steppingstone for each of us and can possibly
equipped us to our battles in life. OJT allows students to experience the actual work
activities of the job and at the same time provides personalized attention and mentoring.
Some students learn by doing, some learn through listening, while still others learn
visually, and each at a different rate. It also offers individualized instruction that
accommodates several learning styles and learning rates . I hope you allow us to
experience OJT in a traditional yet safe manner.
I know that attending face-to-face OJT is not required nor necessary. Because face-to-
face OJT is not promoted due mainly to the pandemic, the Bulacan Polytechnic College
will not be held liable and accountable for the student's wellbeing outside the campus
grounds. Everyone who feels the same way has a photocopy of their guardian’s ID
attached here together with a waiver.
