A Teen Girl’s Manifesto

BY AARADHYA SINGH

“Don’t worry if you are not doing it all correctly, because it is your first time in life too.”
As a teenager with a long life in front of us, we all have plans and visions for a “perfect” life.
Keep on reminding yourself of the dream life that you will get if you never stop working for the
goal you are manifesting. Here are some of the things that us teen girlies manifest - see if you find
yours too:

1. A big castle-like house or an aesthetic modern house - We all dream of a spacious, cozy
house with fluffy beds and a lot more. Put in the hard work and one day you might be living
in your dream house.

2. A good high-paying job or an entrepreneur - No one wants a job that is not fun and low
paying. Good jobs require skills and passion. Develop skills such as coding, writing, team
work, analyzing, and communication. You can explore fields like web development, public
relations, data science, creative writing, designing, etc.

3. Fit and healthy lifestyle - Doing light exercise to keep your body active for only 15-30
minutes is a big habit you can easily develop. Go on walks, jogging, running or cycling. If you
play a sport regularly, that’s great as well.

4. Traveling to different countries - Of course traveling is not a cheap hobby and does require
a lot of money. Study and keep working smart as one day you need to have money to go to
the places of your dreams.

5. Eating tasty foods - Personally, my family doesn’t eat out a lot and we usually eat healthy
(but boring) food. It’s my personal goal to make myself HEALTHY and INTERESTING food
when I’m in college. It’s okay to have hotpots and delicious restaurant food once in a while if
it makes you happy, but of course, don’t eat unhealthy foods solely for pleasure. There are a
lot of channels and recipes on YouTube and Internet guides on how to make happy and
healthy food.

6. Partying and dancing with friends - Who doesn’t like to dance and enjoy time spent with
their closest friends? Make time out on weekends for such activities as karaoke and club to
catch up and relax. If you have friends who might enjoy something quieter, try going to a
spa, sauna, movies, or shopping.

7. Become a ‘GLOWED UP’ version of your present self - Every human being has a unique
personality and appearance. There is no right or wrong way. It’s 100% ok to be you.
However, if you feel you might be more confident with something and it makes you happy at
the end of the day, go for it. For example, many girls have hirsutism and they see it as an
insecurity. It’s important to understand that it is completely natural, but if they feel much
better and confident by treating it, it would be a good idea to do what makes you happy and
confident.
8. Walking with confidence - Don’t we all try to walk like Bella Hadid sometimes? Having a
good walk and posture can be very powerful. It allows people around you to see you as
confident and strong, someone who they can’t mess with easily. Life is already a road with
ups and downs, so don’t let others push you down.

9. Being strong mentally and physically - There will be many people you meet in life who are
simply meant to teach you a lesson. Not everyone who seems like a friend is a friend. You
need to be mentally strong to deal with such people. It does not mean coming back with a
curse word 10x worse, but it means not caring about the negativity these people bring and
setting boundaries so they don’t take advantage of you or hurt you. You also need to be
physically strong. Life is not a K-drama, so the chances of a handsome guy popping up to
save you is, like, 0.01%. Learn basic self-defense skills and punches. It is advised to carry
some pepper spray or taser if you live in an area with a high crime rate.

10.Having a good and trustful life partner - Be a good person with morals and you’ll find
someone who is meant for you. Of course, someone who might seem as if they are your
soulmate turns out to be a devil straight from hell. Learn from these experiences and move
on. Also, try your best to make your partner happy if they are doing the same for you. And if
your partner doesn’t care, I guess it’s time to open your eyes, bestie.

11.Embrace your quirks and talents - If you have a talent, enjoy it. For example, if you are a
good singer, maybe you can sing at different events if it makes you happy. If you are good at
painting, gift your friend a portrait of hers on her birthday.
