NOTIFICATION OF NATIONAL UNION OF CENTRE FOR

EDUCATIONAL SERVICES STUDENTS (NUCESS) ELECTION

At the instance of the Director of CES as approved by the Vice Chancellor, a
committee was set up to ensure the installation of CES Students Government after
much calls from the students, and in an attempt to restore CES programme in the
University.
The Committee sat and have agreed on the following:
A. That the following offices be considered:
1. President

2. Vice President

3. General Secretary

4. Assistant Secretary

5. Treasurer

6. Financial Secretary

7. Director of Sports

8. Director of Social

9. Director of Information

10. Director of Welfare

11. Provost

B. That for students to contest for any of the offices, he/she must meet the following
criteria:
i. For the Office of the President, interested candidates must be degree students
from year three (3) and above, with a minimum CGPA of 3.00 points.
ii. Every other office be thrown open to both degree and diploma students with a
minimum CGPA of 3.00 points.
C. That contestants must be CES Students of the University of Calabar.
D. That interested students must obtain Nomination Form from the Committee
Secretary on a cost as indicated below:
1. President N15,000
 2. Vie President N10,000
3. General Secretary N10,000
4. Assistant Secretary N8,000
5. Treasurer N8,000
6. Financial Secretary N8,000
7. Director of Social N7,000
8. Director of Sports N7,000
9. Director of Information N7,000
10. Director of Welfare N7,000
11. Provost N7,000

E. And that the election will take place on Thursday 16thMay, 2024 at Open Pavellion,
University of Calabar, Calabar.
