Reflection: (What have you learned about your students? How will this inform future instruction?)

I learned a lot while implementing this lesson plan. I thought it went great and the students enjoyed getting to
play with the glitter. In the Voyager classroom they have a germ book that the students love to read and know the
book pretty well. So, I think that this was a great lesson to bring into the classroom for them. Most of the students
understood and could see the transfer of the germs (glitter) and when I asked how we can get rid of germs they all
told me by washing their hands. One thing that I wish I did better was explaining to them that real germs are very
small and obviously can not be seen by the human eye. That was my fault for not explaining it as well. This lesson
helped me to speak to each student, I was able to look at each child and talk to them about what they are seeing. I
was also able to learn more about classroom management, I have gotten much better at using a different kind of
vocabulary with the students in how to handle situations. I will be taking this knowledge with me into student
teaching and into my own classroom.
