1. This final assessment is an individual assessment which consists of one (1) question.

2. Answer the question in English.

3. Softcopy of the answers must be in PDF format and uploaded to google classroom on or
before the last submission date/time. Late submission will not be tolerated. The file must be
named according to this format: Group (capital letters) followed by student’s name (capitalize
each word) e.g LAW240 Ali Bin Abu.

4. Students should use Arial with the following font size:

a. Text: 11 points
b. Name of cases: 11 points, bold
c. Provisions in legislation: 11 points, bold

The text in the paper should be typed in one and half spacing (1.5). All text must be justified
left and right.

5. Please provide page number at the bottom right of each page.

6. Please submit the final assessment together with cover sheet which consists of the following
details:
a. Course name and code;
b. Student’s name and student’s number;
c. Lecturer’s name.

7. Students are required to fill in Ikrar Integriti Pelajar which must be attached together with the

QUESTION 1

(a) To make an acceptance valid, there are certain requirements to be complied with.
Briefly discuss these requirements.

(b) Iskandar and his wife, Cempaka Sari went for a vacation in Jeju, Korea for two
weeks. At the end of the day, Iskandar returned to Malaysia alone as Cempaka Sari got the
opportunity to start her cosmetics business in Jeju, Korea. Before returning home, Iskandar
promise to pay Cempaka Sari a monthly allowance of RM1500.

However, Iskandar failed to keep the promise. Meantime in Malaysia, he fell in love with
Mia Amor, who he met at airport and intending to marry her. Iskandar made an arrangement
with Andaman Kasih Sdn Bhd for his wedding ceremony with Mia Amor. However, he
cancelled it when his friend, Malik agreed to conduct the ceremony at a lower price.

Cempaka Sari and Andaman Kasih Sdn Bhd now decided to bring their respective matters to
the court, claiming that Iskandar is in breach the contracts. Iskandar argued that he has no
intention to create legal relation at the time he enters into such agreements.

Advise Iskandar.
