to be lukewarm means sitting on the fence

When people are doing wrong you don't follow them to do it

lukewarm logically seems to be a smart place to be.One seemingly enjoyss both sides
and the advantages of being
a member of both parties.
the issue with this is that the middle of the warefare is the most dangerous place
to be
