Report of Lab work 4 : Analysis and synthesis of

analog filters

I – Objective of the Lab :

Analog filters are characterized according to their frequency

response. The variation of amplitude as a function of frequency is
the most important criterion. The aim of this practical work is to
analyze and plot the characteristics of basic analog filters which are
classified into low pass, high pass, band pass, and band stop.
I. Low-pass RC filter :

Comment : in low-pass RC filter the capacitor and the resistor they work together to
attenuate high-frequency signals while allowing low-frequency signals to pass through

II. High-pass RC filter :

Comment : : in high-pass RC filter the capacitor and the resistor they work together to
attenuate low-frequency signals while allowing high-frequency signals to pass through
III. RLC band-pass filter :

Comment :in band-pass filter they pass a band of frequencies they block low
level frequencies and also high level frequencies but mid-level frequencies
defined within a certain range they allow through the circuit
All the low level frequencies and high level frequencies get filtered out

IV. RLC band-stop filter :

Comment : the band stop filter is the reverse the low level frequencies and the
high level frequencies are allowed to pass through the circuit but the mid-level
frequencies within this band are filtered out (the mid-level frequencies are going
to be blocked
