Berat Harmanşa Environmental Impact Assessment
• Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) is a process that assesses the potential environmental
impacts of a project or development. Its purpose is to protect the environment while promoting
economic and social development. EIA analyzes and evaluates the negative effects a planned activity
may have on the environment, including social consequences, and identifies measures to mitigate
these impacts. The goal is to strike a balance between economic growth and environmental
protection
• The EIA report, following EIA regulations, includes project details, environmental impact assessment,
mitigation measures, public participation, summary, and visual aids. Additional documents may be
required for the EIA application, such as project summaries, zoning status, property documents,
expert opinions, plans, maps, reports, permits, and administrative paperwork.

Project
Beypazarı Beverage Marketing Distribution Packaging
Tourism Petrol Insaat Sanayi Ve Tic. Inc. It is the Glass
Bottle Factory Project to be built by Ankara's Beypazarı
district.
Aim
The aim of the project is to establish a glass bottle
factory that will meet the need of 300 thousand mineral
water glass bottles per hour. It is also aimed to ensure
environmental sustainability by using 50% recycled glass
cullet in the factory, which will operate with fully Project Area
Filling
Excavated soil will be used for filling works in the project area. The stored subsoil will be protected from
vehicle passage and facilities. Drainage will be ensured by placing subsoil piles, and openings will be
created for reasonable passages and to prevent water accumulation in low areas.
Capacity
The intended production of glass bottles is given in the table.

Location
The factory will be established
in Ankara Province, Beypazarı
District, Başağaç Locality. The
area of the project is 25.55
hectares in total and is located
on certain parcels in the title
deed.
Geological Features
The project area in Beypazarı
district of Ankara is characterized
by the impermeable clay base of
the Urus Formation, which was
deposited in terrestrial and fluvial
environments. The region features
the Beypazarı monocline structure,
and a neotectonic regime with a
NW-SE narrowing effect is present.

Hydrogeological Features
Groundwater potential in Ankara is
found in various regions. The
hydraulic conductivity values in the
project area are low. There are no
dams or streams in the immediate
vicinity, the nearest water wells are
in units containing clayey gravel.
