Answers according to the air pollutions video

What event occurred in Western Europe in 1952?

In the city of London, due to a strong climate change that lasted weeks, several people lost
their lives, this due to air pollution, which was affected by chyme components such as sulfur
dioxide that were in the air due to burning. of carbon

What is air pollution?

It is the presence of those particles, products or materials in the air, which imply damage and
risk to the health of all living beings.

What types of air pollutants have been listed?

PRIMARY POLLUTANTS

Sulfur Dioxide (SO2)

Nitrogen Oxides (NOx)

Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs)-

Carbon Monoxide (CO)

Particulate Matter (PM)

The Lead
How do you prevent it? How do you eliminate air pollution?

1. Use fuels with low sulfur content.

2. Regulate and limit the speed and intensity of combustion in industrial processes.
3. Promote the use of public transportation and electric vehicles.
4. Improve combustion efficiency to reduce SO2 production.
5. Reduce dust and PM emissions in construction and demolition activities by using dust
control techniques
6. Eliminate the use of leaded gasoline in vehicles
7. Improve waste management and the disposal of products containing lead, such as
paints and batteries.

It is a complex process, which requires the intervention of all people, communities,

government and organizations. In the items described above, some strategies for reducing air
pollution can be seen.

¿What is the tropospheric ozone formation?

Tropospheric ozone formation occurs as a result of complex chemical reactions involving

precursor pollutants emitted by human activities and natural sources. Some of the pollutants
are: NOx – VOCs.
¿What are the secondary pollutants?

Nitrid acid (HNO3)

Hyposulfurous acid (H2SO2)

Ozone (O3)
