Dose limits for categories of persons, according to RSS 99/2009
Normalized Dose limits
value Personnel (group A) Population
20 mSv per year on average for any 1 mSv per year on average for
consecutive 5 years, any consecutive 5 years,
but no more than 50 mSv per year but no more than 5 mSv per year
Effective dose for personnel, it should not exceed for the population for the period
1000 mSv for the period of of life (70 years) – 70 mSv
employment (50 years)
The beginning of the periods is considered to be 01/01/2000

The main dose limits, as well as all other permissible exposure levels for Group B
personnel, are equal to 1/4 of the values for Group A personnel.
