II. COMPANY DESCRIPTION

The Company of Muchirap is a company that offers quality snacks but considers
the ability of the possible customer to buy the product. It is evident among us
Filipino the love for foods or delicacy and also to what is called instant food. Either
we are tempted to eat, bored, stressed or feeling feed up, snacks become our
comforting mechanism but sometimes most of us feels like not doing the preparation
specially to those people who just came from work and are really tired. In either way
these makes the tendency of eating unhealthy instant food is high. Due to this
instance the nutritious food serving is not being observed or look at, resulting in
health problems. In these aspects the Muchirap has come to light.

Muchirap comes from the word mushroom, chip and Masarap which the
company major consideration is to offer snacks that are not just delicious but would
also be healthy or fit the fitness diet of a person. This would significantly bring
advantage in terms of health benefits as Mushroom has a lot of health benefit that
includes decreasing the risk of cancer, promote lower cholesterol and support a
healthy immune system. We offer this kind of side dish and snack to give delight to
people craving for something delicious, nutritious and yet affordable so the business
aims move deeper form just gaining profit as customer needs and wants are taken
into account. The company will open shop at the Legazpi City near the school
because a lot of students are tired of having and eating the same snack every day,
and teacher and other school staff can also try it. The product will be something
new for them to try and the company will also open branches in some places near
with crowded people like malls and park because it would bring much attention to
the product in which feedback from customer can be used. The feedback or any
inquiries regarding the product can be sent online and deliveries can also be
accommodated by just messaging the official Facebook page of the company or
through purchasing using Lazada and Shopee apps. In which would benefit the
company in return to a quality and nutritious product and good service of the
personnel.

As we are now at the middle of global crises economy decline and things didn’t
go well as expected this product is made to become a source of income and to help
those people who wants something that they can afford. It is a product that will suit
the budget of the family, a product that Abot Kaya, Kalusugan ang una, Pasok sa
bulsa.
2.1 MISSION STATEMENT:
Helping the community trough offering food that is safe, clean and families can
afford, nutritious snacks that could complement to taste preferences or wants.
Supporting health and wellbeing of customers, ensuring bright future of the team
members and bringing change for the betterment of snack industry.
2.2 LONG-TERM GOALS AND OBJECTIVES
Our company’s goals and objective is to Achieve 90% sales out of the total
production of mushroom chips for the first year. Gain 35% market share in Bicol during
the first four years of operation. Reduce production cost by 5% during first year of
production and Increase production by 30% by the end of the three years of production.

2.2 THE MANAGEMENT TEAM

The company would not be successful without its employees that would take the
responsibility of ensuring that the progress marker and long-term goals and objectives
of the company is being achieved. The following names are the personnel under the
management team of the company including their position and responsibility as a
General Manager, Marketing Manager, Financial Managent, Production Manager, and
Operations manager

General Manager: Jennifer C. Lumbo. She will lead the overall function of each
operation of the business which her responsibilities include hiring training employees
and engaging customers to ensure product satisfaction. The strategic plan will be
released by her to guide the business operation of the policies that runs within the
company. She also takes the responsibility of monitoring the growth and providing
opportunities for the company through research of current trends in the industry.

Marketing Manager: Chenchin M. Lopera. She will be responsible for developing


reasonable pricing strategies for the product that the company will produce. She also
handles budget as well as creating marketing plans for the business so it can bring
more target costumers or consumer. She will take in charge of handling social media
channels like Facebook, Instagram and twitter to promote and advertise the product
online.
Financial Manager: Jayson M. Marbida. He will be responsible of creating the
financial reports and plans for the long-term advantage of business. He understands
and know how the business works and check the cash flows and take the lead in
financial decision and discover business opportunities. He Monitor and create the
business budget to endure that business meet its expectation within its financial goals.

Operation Manager: Andrea Jane Matias. She is responsible for overseeing


operational activities within the business. Her duty is to ensure that everyone completes
their tasks on schedule time so there would be no shortage for the production of
product. She also takes the responsibility of training the employees so they will be more
productive.

Production Manager: Jhon Mark Mercader. The production manager will manage the
orderliness and cleanliness of the kitchen and maintain the food inventory stability. He is
responsible for establishing quality control and managing operations according to food
safety standards. He will also take in charge in preparing finished product for packaging
and shipments.

III. PRODUCT AND SERVICE

1.0 Product/ Service Description


Filipinos love to eat but are sometimes are lazy to prepare for one, that is why to
satisfy the cravings they rely to ready-made which chips is very popular. Philippines
a country with million people are living, poverty is the major issue resulting to
increasing rate of people being died due to hunger and increasing number of
malnourish and obese person. Having small amount money to buy healthy foods,
especially now that all goods had increase its price making it for poor families hard
to afford it, Filipinos tends to just buy a snack specifically chips because of its lower
price. For it is savory and chips a lot of its buyers refuse or ignore the harmful effect
it can cause that later might turn into bigger problems in health. The sodium intakes
of chips may affect the cardiovascular health and can also lead to increase pressure
that may result to stroke, heart failure, coronary disease and kidney disease. A lot
of parents do not suggest chips for their children but they an always be there to
remind their children taking that into consideration we decided to enter the
competitive word of food industry to innovate chips made of healthy crops and
ingredients that are affordable for all. Unlike junk foods and other kinds of chips,
mushroom chips are naturally tasty with fewer artificial chemicals, are a good source
of vitamins, have low carbohydrate content, and are suitable for people on a
nutritional diet. Hence, this product will satisfy there needs during break time a
temporary solution for hunger. As this can also be source of energy needed to finish
all activities or works.

1.1 The Product Service

The product before being produce it will undergo some preparation or process. In
this product it will undergo 6 steps in making one.
 Use oyster Mushrooms
 Separate each mushroom from bunch and shred in small sizes
 Place mushroom in a plastic/zip log bag and add olive oil, Thyme, fine salt
and corn flour after that close the bag then shakes it.
 Transfer mushroom in a single layer to a baking pan lined with baking powder
 Bake the mushroom until very crispy
 Cool completely on a rack and store in an airtight container for up to 2-3
days.
1.2 Unique Features Of The Product
Instead of junks foods containing artificial chemicals the business aims to deliver
and offer good quality to customers by providing a product that caters their needs,
taste preferences and wants that taking into account the nutrition that customer will
get from consuming the product.
Among the specials features of the product mushroom chips that will make it
appealing and unique from its competitors is that it offers with various flavor such as
sweet and sour, honey butter, barbeque and shrimp flavor. Understanding the fact
that we all have different taste preference the product will just be appropriate for
catering costumers likes. Mushroom chips will not just be savory but are also
healthy. Moreover, for food packaging to a longer preservation of chips the company
will use zip lock packaging so it will not become slate. Another thing is that buyers
will be able to reseal the packaging if they want to close it again after taking some
amount. It also will be packaged in smaller amount than the original size from
another competitor so it will be more affordable. Significantly it gains a competitive
advantage for it is sold in price according to the budget that even a young schooler
an afford.
To conclude the advantage are in its packaging, flavor and also the price of the
product. It doesn’t just satisfy craving for food but are also requires less time and
effort before serving and eating for the costumers.
