IMS: Race Meets Space
Have you heard of the Indy 500? Head to the very same racetrack at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway to celebrate the total solar eclipse. NASA will be broadcasting live from the facility and its experts will be available to answer any questions about the scientific phenomenon. General admission tickets are $20 per person and include gate admission, infield parking and a pair of limited-edition solar eclipse glasses. WRSP: A “Dark” Walk in the Park
A free day of fun! White River State Park is the perfect spot for experiencing the eclipse in Indy. The vast grassy area will be filled with activities. Over 20 food trucks will gather along Old Washington Street. By the river, Frank’s Paddlesport Livery will be on site renting out canoes and kayaks. Yoga and tabata classes will be led by NIFS at 12 and 12:30 p.m. in Celebration Plaza Amphitheater. Lastly, at 2:30 p.m. the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra will have a brass quintet performance.
