The School Trip
Today, Class 2 are going on a trip. They are visiting the local fire station
because Miss Twiddle has been teaching them all about firefighters and
their jobs. The children are very excited about seeing a real fire engine.
Everyone needs their coats, packed lunches and clipboards. The children
walk in pairs all the way to the bus stop. The bus arrives and the children
find their seats. There is so much to see out of the window! Finally, they
arrive at their stop. Miss Twiddle makes sure everyone gets off the bus
and counts all the children. When they arrive at the fire station, the first
thing they see is three huge red doors. Each door has a fire engine behind
it. A firefighter comes outside to meet them. Her name is Tess. She tells
