SKZOO Sweater
Gauge
2 inches wide x 1 inch tall = ~12 stitches
x 8 rows in stockinette
I used dk weight yarn and 3.75mm
needles, but you can use whatever you
need to to meet gauge.

Stuff to know
If you’ve never made a raglan sweater
before, you will need to know how to
save sleeve stitches on a piece of
scrap yarn or a small stitch holder (you
can use a safety pin for small projects
like this one… I used a locking stitch marker!), and then pick them up again when it’s
time to knit the sleeves. You will also be picking up stitches in the underarm. This
tutorial for how to pickup stitches for a thumb on a mitten is pretty applicable here if
you need help (note: she decreases to eliminate the extra stitches picked up in the
“ditch” but in this pattern they’re supposed to be there so do not decrease)!

You will need to know how to add new stitches with a backward loop cast on.

I recommend doing raglan increases as M1R (make 1 right) and M1L (make 1 left) to
avoid holes in your sweater. However, even if you wind up with holes, they’re not
really that noticeable (especially if you’re using a fuzzy yarn) so if those stitches
intimidate you, you can opt for a simpler untwisted M1 (make 1) instead.

Make sure you keep track of your beginning of round, it will become one of your
“raglan” lines (or what passes as a raglan line on a sweater this tiny…)
Body
Cast on 44 stitches with the longtail method or another stretchy cast-on. (I cast
evenly onto 4 dpns, but you can use magic loop or any other small-circumference
method you prefer.) Join for working in the round.

Rounds 1-3: [k1, p1] around.

Round 4: knit
Round 5: [k1, M1R, k2, M1L, k1, place marker, k1, M1R, k16 (if you’ve cast on evenly across
4 dpns, this should be to 1 stitch before the corner opposite your BOR), M1L, k1, place
marker1] x2 (52st)
Round 6: knit, slip markers when you get to them
Round 7: [k1, M1R, k4, M1L, k1, slip marker, knit to next marker (or opposite corner)] x2
(56 st)
Round 8: place sleeve stitches (between markers) onto a stitch holder or scrap yarn.
CO 2 using backward loop cast-on for underarm. Knit to other sleeve and do the
same. Knit to end of round. (44 st)

Continue in stockinette for 7 rounds, or until you’ve reached the desired length
minus about a centimeter for ribbing.

Ribbing (2 rounds): [k1, p1] around

Bind off in pattern. (Standard bind-off is fine, since the bottom edge of the sweater
doesn’t really need to stretch, but you can use any bind-off you like).

Sleeves
Place your saved stitches back onto your needles. Pick up 4 stitches, spaced as
evenly as you can, in the underarm. (12 sleeve st total)

Rounds 1-5: knit

Rounds 6: [k1, p1] around
Bind off loosely in pattern.
Repeat for other sleeve.

Weave in ends and you’re done!

you may not need this marker if you’re using 4 dpns as this should be the corner
