INTRODUCTION
Natural Sciences: Students learn about biology, chemistry, and physics, from basic theories
to the most recent advances. They learn to think scientifically and apply scientific principles
in everyday situations.

Social Studies: Students learn about history, geography, and economics, from the
beginnings of mankind to the present. They learn to understand how historical events, social
trends, and world economies influence the present.
Mathematics: Students learn about algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, and statistics,
enabling them to understand and solve complex mathematical problems.
Language and Literature: Students learn about grammar, composition, and literature,
allowing them to communicate effectively and understand literature from different cultures
and times.
Arts: Students learn about music, theater, visual art, and dance, allowing them to appreciate
and create different forms of art.
The baccalaureate in sciences and humanities aims to develop responsible and informed
citizens who can make significant contributions in their communities and in the world. It is an
excellent preparation for higher education and for careers in areas such as law, medicine,
engineering, journalism, political science, and the humanities in general.

WHAT IS IT BASED ON?
The baccalaureate course in sciences and humanities is based on providing a
comprehensive education that covers a wide range of disciplines in the areas of natural
sciences, social sciences, mathematics, language and literature, and arts. The goal is for
students to gain a deep and detailed understanding of the world around them and the skills
necessary to face future challenges, both in their personal and professional lives.
The program focuses on providing students with a solid foundation of knowledge and skills in
core subject areas such as biology, chemistry, physics, history, geography, economics,
mathematics, literature, language, and the arts. In addition, the development of critical and
analytical skills is promoted, as well as the ability to solve problems and creativity.
The baccalaureate in sciences and humanities also focuses on fostering critical thinking and
the ability to analyze information rigorously and systematically. Students learn to develop
their own ideas and express them effectively and persuasively, as well as to work in teams
and collaborate with others.
The program is also based on encouraging active learning and student participation in the
educational process. Students are encouraged to seek information, ask questions, discuss
and analyze problems, and apply what they have learned to everyday situations and
practical projects.

CURRICULUM
The curriculum of the baccalaureate course in sciences and humanities consists of several
required and elective courses in specific areas. Required courses include subjects such as
biology, chemistry, physics, history, economics, philosophy, literature, mathematics, art, and
music, among others. Elective courses allow students to focus on specific areas of interest,
such as additional courses in the natural sciences, art and literature courses, communication
courses, technology courses, among others.
The baccalaureate course in sciences and humanities aims to develop critical and analytical
skills in students, foster communication and teamwork skills, and instill strong ethics and a
