Jonathan had a son who was crippled and living in hiding,
his name is Mephibosheth. He fell when his nurse was tending to
him and his legs were badly hurt. He couldn’t walk anymore.
Mephibosheth did not live a normal life. After the accident he
did not enjoy playing with other children when he was young. He
felt very sad and lost hope. But Mephibosheth prayed to God to
help him in his bad condition.

One day, King David asked for Mephibosheth to be brought to the palace. When
he came to David, he was surprised to hear the good
news. David responded and said, “Do not fear, for I
will show you kindness for the sake of your father
Johnathan and I will restore to you all the land of
Saul your father and you shall eat at my table
always”

Mephibosheth lived happily even thought he was

crippled in both feet. God comforted him by
answering his prayer and gave him joy and hope in his heart.
