Topic: Elements of Art
Activity Title: The Animal Parade (Think-Pair-Share)
Objective 1: demonstrates understanding of lines, shapes, colors and texture, and
principles of balance, proportion and variety through creating a colorful animal mask.
Materials: masks, coloring materials (paint), paintbrushes, pencils etc.
Instruction:

1. The teacher will divide the class in pairs of two and hand them each a mask.
2. Each pair shall discuss amongst themselves on what animals and design they
want to incorporate in their masks and illustrate their designs on a bond paper.
3. Upon finishing their illustrations, each pair will be given appropriate materials to
finish their animal masks then let them get started on working on their designs.
4. As the class goes on with their outputs, the teacher shall approach each pair and
guide them or give recommendations on how students can execute their work.
5. After finishing their outputs, each pair shall go up in front and present their work
and give a brief explanation why they choose to design their masks a certain
way.
6. Individually, they will be given feedback on how well they have done their outputs
or recommendations on how they can improve it.
