Planning Pages
The pre-dated planning pages have many editable components.
You can edit the month, subjects, and dates. Plus, you can also
adjust the table (boxes) any way you would like.
Changing the Subjects
To quickly change the subjects on ALL pages at once, follow these
simple steps.
1. Press Ctrl+F or find the “Replace” option in your menu.

2. Type in the subject you would like to replace (ex. Subject 1,

Subject 2, Subject 3, etc.)
3. Type your subject where it says “Replace with”
4. Click “Replace All”

5. Repeat this process for each Subject.

**NOTE: You may have different steps depending on your computer or program. If
different than PowerPoint, you may need to search the internet for how to replace text
on your computer/program.

Planning Pages Deleting and Adding Rows or Columns
The table works just like an Excel spreadsheet. To add or delete rows,
follow these steps.
1. Highlight the row/column you would like to delete or add.
2. Click the “Layout” menu at the top and use the buttons (insert left,
insert right, insert below, insert above, delete) to add or delete a row
or column. You can also just “right click” on the highlighted row and
make your selection from there.
Note: Once you have deleted/added any rows/columns, be sure to stretch
the outside boarder of the table to fit the space provided. These steps
may be different depending on your program.
Can I apply changes to ALL weeks at once?
No. Unfortunately, Microsoft does not have a way to apply changes to ALL
weeks in the file. This just isn’t a feature they offer. IF you MUST make
lots of changes to the lesson planning pages to fit your needs, here is what
I suggest.
Option 1: Make the first week exactly the way you would like your plans to
look. Select the table on the first page, copy it, and paste it on all the
pages it belongs on. Repeat this with the second page as well. Once you
are done pasting the tables on all the pages, you will have your plans
formatted for the entire year.
Option 2: Make the first week exactly the way you would like your plans to
look. Delete all other pages in the file. Use “Save As” to save your one-
week as a new file. Now you can use this file each week to type your plans.
By using this option, you will not have predated plans. You will have to add
your own date each week. However, you will save lots of time not having to
format your pages.
**Be sure to check out the “Alternate Templates” file for more options.
These templates aren’t predated.

Saving Your Lesson Plans by Week or Month (optional)
In this file, you will find one large file containing your entire year of lesson
plans (predated). Having everything in one file is great while you are
setting everything up. Also, if you plan to print and handwrite your plans,
this file makes it easy to just print and go. However, if you plan to type
your plans, you will more than likely want to split this large file into smaller
pieces for easy navigating.
Step 1: Find the lesson plan file you want to work with. There are files for
4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 subjects. Plus, there are files that are dated for the
2016-2017 school year (starting in August) and the 2017 school year
(starting in January).
Step 2: Write your lesson plans for the first week.
Step 3: Once you have written your plans, go to “File” → “Save As” and save
your lesson plans in a new folder on your computer (wherever you would
like to keep your lesson plan files). Make sure you name it something new
(ex. August 1 Lesson Plans).
Step 4: In your NEW file, delete all pages except your current plans from
the file. You can do this very quickly by using the sidebar (on left) and
holding down the “delete”.
After writing your lesson plans each week, repeat these steps. You can
also do this by month. Instead of saving a new file each week, save it at
the end of each month.
TIP: After saving your plans somewhere else on your computer, you can delete those
pages from the large file so that your latest plans are always in the front.

TIP: If you need to email your plans to your principal, be sure to save it as a PDF first.
Otherwise, the fonts will look funny on other computers.

day that matches your schedule.

different than PowerPoint, you may need to search the internet for how to replace text
on your computer/program.
