There were 5,314 participants from the different regions all
over the Philippines who joined the 20202 National School
Press Conference last March 9-13, 2020 in Tuguegarao City,

Use different sources of information in reading

Using different sources of information in reading, provides us learnings and


information that we need in order to further understand a lesson or a topic.

Information can come from different sources. These sources can be either
print or nonprint.

Print sources are materials in which information are printed on paper.

 BOOK – a source of information that presents topics in chapters.

 DICTIONARY – is a collection of words which are alphabetically


arranged from A-Z. It provides meanings to various word items.

 ENCYCLOPEDIA – is a collection of short factual entries about


various subjects or topics.
F. Teaching/Modelling
(I Do)  NEWSPAPER – provides discussion on updated and current news,
issues, and trends. It is printed and distributed usually daily or
weekly.

 MAGAZINE – a collection of articles and images on various topics


and interests.

 JOURNAL – a collection of articles written by scholars and/or


researchers.

Nonprint sources are materials that use audio, video, or electronic text.

 INTERNET – allows you to search information through a browser.

 RADIO & TELEVISION- a mass medium for news, ads and


sports. These are electronic devices that provide information as
audio or video content.
