Concept: Compound words – are individual words (or phrases that act as individual
words) made from two or more words working together. Designed by combining two
simpler words to form one complex word. Example: mail + box = mailbox. We often
use compound words without realizing they consist of two different, simpler words.
Compound words- have their own distinct meanings that are different from the
meanings of the words they’re made of.

III. Procedure:
A. Preparatory Activities

mahagkot – matugnaw

2. Review
Sing the song “If you're Happy and You Know it”
Direction: Identify the category of describing words in sentence that refer to color,
size, shape, texture, temperature and feelings in sentences. Choose the right
category inside the box and right your answer on the line.

Motivation
Look inside our room, what are the things you can see inside our classroom? Can
you describe the things that you can see in front, at the back, on the left side and
at the right side of our classroom? Are you happy in going to school every day?
