Projec t report an important c omponent of educ ation at HCL Technologies

Sultanpur Road, Lucknow It is an attempt to bridge the gap between the

ac ademic institution and the corporate world. It provides us an opportunity to

apply the c onc epts learnt in real life situations. The projec t repo11 helps

students in exploring their sk.ills and c apabilities. This internship program

makes a mark of hard work, sincerity, knowledge and ethics on the host

organization. It would also be a great learning experience sinc e it enables

students to apply theory to practice and observe and learn the c UJrent trends in

the market. It provides an opportunity to satisfy inquisitiveness about

c orporate, provides exposure to technical skills, and helps students to ac quire

soc ial skills by being in c onstant interac tion with the professionals of other

organizations. It helps students in developjng a network, whic h will be useful

in enhanc ing in c areer prospec ts. This will help to gain a deeper understanding

of the work, c ulture, deadlines, pressures etc . of an organization.

Thus, it helps to develop the qualities of a Manager by involving teamwork, goal

orientation and managing interpersonal relationships and by creating awareness

about strengths and weaknesses in the work environment.

Selected graduates will travel to their world-renowned Initial Leaming Program
(ILP) in Iodia for two months.

Supply Chain Management is one of the most important activities. addressed by

Business Excellence Models. such as Malcolm Baldrige National Quality
Award (MBNQA), European Foundation for QuaUty Management (EFQM) etc;
Academic Lnstitutes are main 'suppliers' for HR intensive industry, like HCL.
The sourcing for tbe entire Initial Learning Programme (lLP) depends on the
academic Institutions. TI1e Academia- [ndustry vvill need to cultivate mutually
beneficial and lasting relationships witl1 one another. In this emerging
framework, robust high-quality. long- term relationships, based on t\;vo-way
investments of rime & resources, an·e becoming essential to understand,
influence and improve the interactions between both sectors.
