My best friend is Minh. He’s 11 years old. He’s my classmate at Hung
Binh Secondary School. He's tall and thin. He has short black hair and big
round eyes. He likes playing football in his free time. I think he is very
kind and helpful. I love being with him because he helps me a lot of
things. On the weekend, he often goes to my house and does the
homework with me. I love him very much. We will try to keep this
friendship!

Subject: My favourite festival

Dear Minh,
There are many special festivals in Vietnam but the most important
festival is Tet .
Tet is usually from the end of January to early February. Before Tet,
people clean and decorate the house, go shopping to buy many things
such as new clothes, flowers, food…In my city, every family makes Banh
Chung for Tet. During Tết, everyone gathers to enjoy a family meal.On
New Year’s Eve, we can watch colorful fireworks in the sky.On the first
day of the year people visit their family and friends, they also go to the
pagodas to pray for peace and good things. Children wear new clothes
and get lucky money from adults.
Everyone is happy and excited about the New Year. I love Tet.
