Dear Sir,

For following documents, we have received few comments from DCPL after approvals were issued by MAHAGENCO. We
will proceed further taking care of the same, however following comments may be clarified:
1. Design memorandum IS-4-DC-715-100-M001 rev2
a. Comment: ADDIITONAL BAY FOR COAL COLLECTION AFTER LAST BUNKER ( IN CASE BUNKER OF FULL &
DURING TRIPPER MOVEMENT BETWEEN BUNKERS WHEN COAL IS FED TO CENTER CONVEYOR)
Comment ( CHP flow diagram IS-1-FL-705-100-M002 R3:) ) SUITABLE PROVISION TO BE PROVIDED FOR
COAL DISCHARGE WHEN COAL TRIPPER IS TRAVELLING/MOVING BETWEEN COAL BUNKERS AND LAST BUNKER
IS FULL.
Reply: Generally for circular bunkers there will be some spillage of coal which is unavoidable when
changing over/ tripper traveling from one bunker to other and this spilled coal which is small in qty. will
be pushed through bunker opening manually and it doesn’t have any special solution to this issue and
generally prevalent in most of the power plant. Also provision of providing additional bay for coal
collection is not envisaged and may not be able to address this issue.
b. Comment: AUGER COAL SAMPLING UNIT 2 NOS FOR ROM
Reply: Auger CSU are not in scope, as same are deleted as per minutes of Oct’17 enclosed

c. Comment: Dribble conveyor: MOTOR RATING TO BE 150% OF DESIGN TO TAKE CARE OF HEAVY LOAD
DURING STARTING
Reply: It is not envisaged in contract and such high margin is not required since dribble conveyor is
minor non-critical item. Standard drive sizing as done by OEM generally shall be followed.
d. Comment: Crusher drive margin – 20% : SHALL BE MORE TO CATER TO POWER REQUIREMENT DURING
JAMMING
Reply: As per NIT spec, 20% shall be the margin which we have already considered. Further margin
cannot be provided not envisaged in contract
e. Comment: 2 NOS PORTABLE TROLLEY MOUNTED NON CLOG PUMPS
Reply: Not envisaged as per NIT spec. Same cannot be provided.
f. Comment: INCLUDE 2 NOS SAMPLER FOR WAGONS AS PER CORR 1 /#27
Reply: Auger CSU are not in scope, as same are deleted as per minutes of Oct’17 enclosed
g. Comment: ADD SELECTION OF MOTOR RATING:
THE DRIVE MOTOR RATING FOR AF-1 & AF- 2 SHALL BE SELECTED CONSIDERING 150% OF DESING
REQURIEMENT CRUSHER MOTOR OTHER EQIPMENT
Reply: Drive motor rating will be calculated at design TPH as per standard calculation method followed
by OEMs. 10% Margin will be provided for motor rating over BKW as per conveyor motor rating and
also as per general practice being followed by other customers like NTPC( reference drg
attached) instead of 150% as commented by DCPL.

2. Few of the above comments are appearing in CHP flow diagram IS-1-FL-705-100-M002 R3 also.

These drgs/docs will be revised based on MAHAGENCO’S / DCPL confirmations/clarifications. Other DCPL Comments
related to structural/ civil will be taken up separately.
