Exercise: Loss Methods
 Start with previous database or open “Ex. Loss Method_Base”
database
 Go to simulation tab and create 3 copies of the
“Base+FlowLimits+X/R+VS-OPF+Losses” model with the following
names:
 Base+FlowLimits+X/R+VS-OPF+Losses+PWL10
 Base+FlowLimits+X/R+VS-OPF+Losses+PWL100
 Base+FlowLimits+X/R+VS-OPF+Losses+Conic

Exercise: Loss Methods
 Create 3 new Transmission objects with the following settings:
 PWL10: Loss Method - Piece Wise Linear; Max Tranches 10
 PWL100: Loss Method - Piece Wise Linear. Max Tranches 100
 Conic: Loss Method – Conic
 Attach these Transmission objects to the three new models
 Execute all the models and compare the losses on the lines for
different loss methods.
